Marc is best known around Australia for being 'That Movie Guy' on triple j, ABC Local Radio and Network Ten's Logie-winning morning chat show The Circle. His unique segments on triple j (radio and tv) have racked up hundreds of thousands of downloads and 2 impromptu marriage proposals. All of which are totally bewildering to Marc. Marc can occasionally be seen talking about film on Showtime's The Movie Club. Marc also fronts a webseries about the art of movie trailers called Coming Sooner.
Marc's first book, imaginatively titled That Movie Book, is on shelves was Harper Collins and ABC Books in November 2011
Outside of film criticism, Marc is also a massive nerd. In 2012 he hosts the brand new technology show on Radio National called Download This Show. Marc was a presenter, producer and reporter for all 3 seasons of ABC1's Hungry Beast where he investigated, satrized and explored the realms of digital media, popular culture, gaming and technology. Marc is also a regular media, tech and culture commentator for ABC News 24 and Paul Murray Live on Sky News.
Marc's career began when he was one of the winners of the AFI Outstanding Young Film Critics Awards. Marc then spent 4 years as the film critic for Sydney radio station FBi 94.5. Marc was soon recruited to present DVD reviews for SBS Television's The Movie Show at the age of 19. Since then he's worked across broadcast, print and online media. Marc has been a graphic designer, web developer, magazine and newspaper writer and radio producer. Marc has interviewed countless filmmakers, actors, musicians and writers. He even performed a live comedy show at the 2009 Melbourne Comedy Festival.
